Founded in 1966, the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association was approved for affiliation with the American Soybean Association in 1967.
Highlighting the annual membership meeting of the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association (NCSPA) was the naming of the N. C. Princess Soya, Paula Jane Mitchell.
